Read More(partially paraphrased from the owner of this bird) This is a Ferruginous Hawk (Buteo regalis) taken at the annual Washington Falconers Association Picnic http://www.wafalconers.org/). It is held every year as a fund raiser, get together of other WA falconers and a chance for public interest/falconer interest to attend. Also a good way for members to meet and connect with others in the state. I must say this was probably the highlight of the event for me and a beautiful bird to photograph!

Fall colors in Washington taken at the Washington Park Arboretum. A bit of a weird season here as we haven't had a lot of rain this year so the colors are not quite as brilliant.

I was touring Rome, Italy with my wife and we came across this display of flowers on a bench. I made up a story that some romantic guy was waiting here to propose and his to be fiancé never showed and he just left the flowers. It could happen :).
